Our story

2017

OpenDialog
inception

OpenDialog originated from a team of world-renowned conversational AI experts who were implementing early versions of the technology developed by major software vendors.

Recognizing the shortcomings of the available conversational AI systems, combined with the significant opportunities for emerging Large Language Models, the team embarked on developing an entirely new platform, called OpenDialog, that would enable companies in regulated industries to exploit the latest generation of AI models safely to radically transform their business.

2022

Company
formation

OpenDialog AI Ltd was created in 2022 in a transaction that brought together Dr Ronald Ashri, the founder of the OpenDialog platform, with Terry Walby and Dean Chapman, experienced entrepreneurs in the automation software sector.

The newly formed business provided a platform to commercialize and scale, further enhancing the OpenDialog product and expanding the company’s client base internationally.

2023 - 2025

Growth &
recognition

OpenDialog enhanced its range of solutions for regulated businesses and continued its growth trajectory.

In October 2023, OpenDialog incorporated its US entity with an office in Austin, Texas.

OpenDialog was recognised as ‘Emerging Technology of the Year’ at the UK IT Awards.

In January 2024, OpenDialog announced its $8m Series A investment.
