Collecting complex medical info consistently and reliably
with MyMeds&Me and OpenDialog
BAckground
MyMeds&Me already had a well-established, complex form-based, product for collecting adverse effects from patients. However, they wanted to look at alternative ways to engage with patients and increase the number of submissions of adverse effects reports from users and increase the data quality of those reports.
The solution needed to be a mobile first, conversational bot that provided a friendly and intuitive user experience for users to have a serious conversation regarding the reporting of adverse event but that also complimented and integrated with their product suite.
The conversational application needed to adhere to a complex set of regulatory requirements ensuring that automated decisions are transparent along each step.
the Solution
Utilising OpenDialog’s conversation builder and engine MyMeds&Me were able to build complex and reusable conversations which adapted in language to their different user personas (patient, carer, professional). There is also capability built in for the future expansion into multi-lingual.
Utilising OpenDialog’s custom webchat, MyMeds&Me were able to hide the complexity of interactions through a friendly conversational interface and provide unambiguous nexts steps and clear sense of progress to user. The customised interactive widgets have reduced the possibility of mistakes being made in the collection of data.
OpenDialog was able to seamlessly integrate with MyMeds&Me’s product suite incl. their global pharmacovigilance platform, Reportum. The solution was able to pull in the most up to date data around adverse effects and drug catalogues to ensure data quality throughout every adverse report.
