OPENDIALOG PRICING

OpenDialog Services through the OpenDialog cloud are priced on a pay-as-you-go basis. See our plans and pricing page for more information about the plans we currently have available to customers.

Terminology

Conversational turn

A conversational turn is a request/response pair of messages between the user and the application. It involves one message from the user, generated through a conversational interface, arriving at the OpenDialog conversational platform and one message from the OpenDialog platform arriving at the user’s interface.

Conversational Interface

A conversational interface is the endpoint through which a user is interacting with an OpenDialog conversational application. It can be the webchat widget or an interface such as WhatsApp, Telegram or Facebook Messenger.

Conversation

A conversation is the completion of at least one conversational turn through a conversational interface. For billing purposes, we may increase that to two conversational turns based on the conversational interface in question.

 

Pricing Policy

OpenDialog services through our Cloud Edition are priced on a pay-as-you-go basis per conversation and you don’t need to worry about any upfront costs. 

Pricing kicks in when a conversational application is launched (i.e for WebChat that is when the widget is placed on another domain) and we charge per conversation based on the tiers described here:

  • 0-1000 conversations per month : £0.05 per conversation
  • 1001-10000 : £0.03 per conversation
  • 10000-25000 : £0.02 per conversation
  • 25001-over : £0.008 per conversation
 

A conversation is only counted after the first exchange. In other words, we don’t charge you simply for the application welcoming the user and the user responding. That is the equivalent of both parties saying hi. We start charging from the second conversational turn onwards.

A single conversation (from a pricing perspective) includes 30 turns (i.e. 30 back and forth exchanges).

Billing is monthly and a report on the number of conversations that you incurred through the month, on a per conversational interface basis, will be available through your account (Feature coming soon) .

However, while OpenDialog is in launch beta all interactions are free!

 

Example billing

If a client incurs 27000 conversations in a month we will charge:

  • For the first 1000 conversation £80.00
  • For the next 8999 conversations £449.95
  • For the next 14999 conversations £149.99
  • For the final 1999 conversations £15.99
  • The final monthly bill will be £695.93
